The year 1980 marked the mid-point in the five-year-long renovation of The Cosmic House. Jencks’ active work throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s in formalising his thinking on Post-Modernism in architecture informed the design of The Cosmic House, which might be interpreted as a built manifesto of Post-Modernism.
